Behind the extraordinary IIWH stands our visionary founder, Manu Nair, an experienced Spa Trainer and Consultant. Manu’s illustrious career spans across prestigious properties in India and abroad, having qualifications from esteemed institutions like CIDESCO Spa Switzerland, CIDESCO Beauty Switzerland, CIBTAC London, and Spa Management & Development from Chiva-som Bangkok. With over 18 years of experience work with leading Spas including Marriott International, Hyatt, Sheraton and Luxury collection etc… With his wealth of expertise, Manu brings unparalleled wisdom to IIWH.
From the very beginning, Manu’s passion for on-site training has driven IIWH. We have fostered a vibrant community of wellness enthusiasts and professionals from various backgrounds and nationalities. Dr. Gowthaman, who is a practicing Ayurveda doctor, pursued MD in Rasasastra/Rasachikitsa to enhance his knowledge in Ayurveda. He was introduced to the world of Kalaripayattu by his father at a very young age of 7. Following his father’s footsteps, he learned the different nuances of Kalaripayattu and Ayurveda-Siddha systems of medicine. He continues to upgrade himself towards the hidden vistas of Indian Medicine. C.V.N Kalari, Madhava Matam, now upholds the legacy of Ramachandran Gurukkal through Gowthaman Gurukkal. Dr. Gowthaman is frequently invited for talks, workshops, and performances by various authorities both inside and outside the country.

DR ASHIK DEEP
BAMS (LECTURER)
Dr. Ashik Deep is a qualified Ayurvedic physician specializing in holistic wellness, rejuvenation, and natural healing therapies. With experience in Ayurveda, he has successfully integrated traditional Ayurvedic treatments with modern spa therapies to promote relaxation, balance, and well-being. Having worked as a spa manager, he has overseen the development of Ayurvedic wellness programs, staff training, and guest experiences, ensuring a high standard of authentic and therapeutic healing practices.
He has also trained international students from various countries in the principles of Ayurveda, Panchakarma therapies, Ayurvedic nutrition, and holistic healing practices. Passionate about spreading authentic Ayurvedic wisdom globally, Dr. Ashik Deep has conducted workshops, retreats, and professional training sessions for wellness enthusiasts, therapists, and healthcare professionals.
Ms Shirley Mathew Poyyakaran – Trainer
Ms Shirley Mathew Poyyakaran is currently, working as an Admission Advisor, counsellor and Consultant with IIWH, Trivandrum. She had been the External Examiner for the first batch of IIWH Exams 2018.She is an experienced Salon/Spa Manager and senior Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the Beauty and Body Salon, Health, Wellness and Fitness Industry with Oceana Wellness Spas and Spasnear.com.
She started her journey as a lecturer with Kohinoor Institute of Hotel Management and was selected as Moderator for Technical Education in Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education(MSBTE) in 2003.
With more than 15 years of experience in both the beauty, wellness and hospitality industry, she is also skilled in Sales and Marketing, Communication, Front office operations and management, Customer Relationship Management(CRM). She has trained Spa Managers, Spa Ayurvedic Doctors, Spa supervisor, therapist and Esthetician during their provided job training program.
She has a strong professional support with PGDBA in Marketing, Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel management, a High School Diploma in cosmetology focused in Salon/ beauty salon and aromatherapy from CIDESCO(Zurich) and CIBTAC(London). She is also trained in Spa management from Soham Academy by Core Wellness Ltd, Juhu Mumbai.

SREEJITH BALAKRISHNAN
TRAINER – YOGA AND REFLEXOLOGY
Sreejith’s yoga journey started in Kerala, India, where he learned from his grandfather. He expanded his knowledge by studying with various masters across India, including the Bihar School of Yoga and Sadhguru of the Isha Yoga Foundation. He also trained in reflexology, Ayurveda, and Marma therapy at Jiva Spa Training School and the International Institute of Wellness and Hospitality in Kerala, India.
Sreejith’s commitment to spreading yoga and Ayurveda across India earned him the title “Yoga Shiromani” in 2010 from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, recognizing his positive impact on numerous individuals through sharing yoga knowledge. Sreejith’s dedication to yoga and alternative therapy was recognized with an award from Dr. Shashi Tharoor, a Member of Parliament in India. His passion for sharing yoga’s benefits inspired others to pursue physical and mental well-being through yoga. His efforts showcased yoga’s transformative power and served as a guiding light for many.
He worked as a yoga Ayurveda practitioner in St. Lucia, Caribbean. Sreejith was invited to London by the renowned English film actor and director, Mr. Steven Berkoff, to instruct yoga to his actor friends and colleagues. Additionally, he led yoga sessions at Pineapple Studio in Covent Garden, Central London. He also travels to the USA, France, and Germany.
Dr. Akhil Remesh – Guest Lecturer
Dr. Akhil Remesh M is an esteemed International Wellness Trainer(Visiting faculty) at the International Institute of Wellness and Hospitality, where he imparts training to students of various nationalities, including Russian, Italian, and others. He is a Kerala traditional Ayurveda physician who graduated from the renowned Govt. Ayurveda College in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. His extensive training includes Sidha, Reiki, Kalari Marma… from esteemed gurus.
Dr. Akhil Remesh M has had the privilege of receiving teachings from Vaidya Anil Kumar S, who is associated with the prestigious Sukumaran Vaidyan Memorial Angadikada, a traditional Ayurveda establishment established in 1872 and currently in its fourth generation. He incorporates the knowledge and philosophy of Sri. Sukumaran Vaidyan’s school of thought and books into his medical practice, rooted in traditional Kerala Vaidya knowledge.
With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Akhil Remesh M specializes in Nadi Chikitsa (Traditional Pulse Diagnosis/TPD), Marma Chikitsa (Vital Point Massage Therapy/VPMT), and medical astrology for the diagnosis and prognosis of chronic diseases.
His clinical experience as an Ayurveda physician includes working at prestigious institutions such as Isha Rejuvenation at the Isha Foundation in Velliangiri, as well as the Government Ayurveda Medical College Trivandrum and Government Ayurveda Dispensary in Chadayamangalam, Kollam, Kerala.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Akhil Remesh M has also served as a corporate doctor and trainer for doctors in various five-star resort spas of the Oceana Wellness Group. He has contributed his expertise as a biodiversity guide, building medicinal plant gardens for the Institute for Watershed Development and Management in Kerala, a government initiative. Furthermore, he has been an accomplished content writer in a medical journal in Kerala since 2009.
In Grace of Gurus he is practicing Traditional Ayurveda for health happiness and humanity.
